Key Project Elements
- The preparation of waste processing, storage area & waste quarantine area
- Installed all site infrastructure, welfare facilities, wheel-wash & weighbridge
- Excavation & stockpiling of overburden soil
- Processing of underlying intermixed waste 106,000m3
- Processed & segregated the waste materials on site
- Removal of all waste off-site to agreed waste management facilities
- Reprofiling of the existing area prior to capping including placement of a flexible membrane liner (FML)
- Installation of associated drainage & gas collection layers on the capped area
- Installation of gas vents and drainage provision to capping area of 15,000m2
- Backfill & regrade all the site excavated using inert material recovered on-site
