Key Project Elements

  • Carried out remedial works to repair the Palmerstown Footbridge which was constructed in the late 1980’s 
  • This bridge was built to provide a route for pedestrians to cross the very busy N4 road 
  • Repainting of the handrails with a new layer of protective paint & a second layer of the finish paint 
  • Repair works on the supporting pillars of the bridge which had fire damage & superficial concrete cracks 
  • Restore the appropriate cover over the structural steel as there was superficial concrete damage 
  • Placement of specialised grout to re-establish the concrete steel bond with the steel 
  • Applied a special solvent to remove the graffitti on the bridge
