Background
As part of the strategic framework for up to 10,000 new homes in West Dublin, Priority Construction Ltd was appointed as Main Works Contractor and PSCS to deliver three critical infrastructure contracts within the Adamstown SDZ.
The works provided essential road, drainage, and public realm infrastructure to enable future residential development.
Key Achievements
- Built 2.5km of new roads, including a 1km dual carriageway
- Installed 1km of 1350mm diameter surface water culvert
- Executed 35,000m³ of bulk earthworks
- Installed 9km of utility ducting and 8.5km of kerbing
- Constructed 6,500m² of footways and 70 street lights
- Managed complex traffic systems in live environment
Project Innovation & Value
- Halved required lamp stands through redesigned lighting layout
- Used geogrids to reduce excavation depth and material import
- Recycled 100% of excavated rock and existing road materials on-site
- Installed hydro-brake tanks to treat surface water before release
- Implemented GPS surveying and drone technology for precision monitoring
